Shelter 116 print

In December 2009, the Giancursio family generously gifted Rochester & Eastern Rapid Railway Waiting Shelter #116 to the Friends of the Railroad. Volunteers started restoring the shelter in May 2011. You can help us with the restoration with your generous donation. Donors of $100 or more will receive a signed and numbered print of the shelter. To donate, please contact Pat Palomaki at 585-736-8037 or friendsoftherailroad@gmail.com.

Our Leslie Area Historical Society has recently acquired a waiting shelter from the Covert road stop in Leslie, Michigan, and I was wondering what color your shelter was painted? Any info would be helpful. thanks

    Hi Sheryl,
Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. We researched the net for the color specifically used by the Rochester & Eastern Railway. There are many articles about former interurban lines, search Electric Railway Journal.
