We recently surveyed a small group of our most dedicated members to determine their
reasons as to why they chose to become members.  See below for some of the results...

TOP 10 REASONS TO BECOME A MEMBER OF
THE FRIENDS OF THE RAILROAD

  1.  I love trains.
  2.  I appreciate and/or enjoy train restoration and preservation.
  3.  Riding trains is fun for the whole family!
  4.  Travelling on passenger trains is a great way to enjoy scenery and the seasons.
  5.  It’s a true delight to see children’s response to trains.
  6.  I want to support the mission and efforts of the Friends of the Railroad.
  7.  It’s a great way to participate in local train history.
  8.  Riding passenger trains is wonderful event for the community.
  9.  I like getting updates on local trains and train travel.

Newly Added: Starting in 2019, FORR Members (unless they opt out) are automatically signed up to receive advance email noticifications of tickets going on sale, before the general public, for Santa Trains and other excursions with Friends of the Railroad.
